The four bedrooms are big on space with views of the distant hills and mountains. There is first class linen and excellent mattresses, big bathrooms with heated towel rails and flowers, books and paintings. There are photos of travels in India and South America, books and magazines, rugs and attractive lighting. All of the bedrooms have CD players, radiators and fans to keep the summer heat at bay.

Reached by a steep wooden staircase, Casablanca has a gorgeous view and its own small sitting room with French windows leading out to a small jasmine-clad balcony. There is loads of hanging space in the wardrobe and tasteful lighting. It has a bath as well as an overhead shower.


In a separate wing, Cadiz is the highest room at El Tejar and is a twin. It has windows on three sides and so it gets masses of light. There are framed black and white photographs, attractive appliqué lamps and beautiful Indian cotton bedspreads. It has a bath as well as overhead shower.


Cuzco is another spacious twin room, in the same wing as Cadiz. It also has windows on all three sides and has access to an almond-shaded terrace & to a staircase that leads down to the pool. It has a bath as well as overhead shower. The views are inspirational.


Cueva is the lowest room in the house and well away from other rooms. It is a double and has been decorated with framed prints from Morocco and other Eastern memorabilia. It has a small annex where there is a single bed: this can double as a dressing room. It has access to a terrace by the pool. Cueva has its own shower room.
